BADGER CONNECT COMMUNITIES

INTRODUCING BADGER CONNECT COMMUNITIES

Badger Connect Communities is a statewide initiative focused on building stronger connections between Badger student-athletes and youth communities throughout Wisconsin.

Our first program, Junior Badgers, is designed to support local youth sports organizations by creating memorable experiences and meaningful interactions with Badger athletes.

Former Badger basketball player Brian Butch is helping lead this effort as we work to build something special for communities across the state.

Whether through virtual messages, special events, or behind-the-scenes experiences, our goal is simple: inspire the next generation of Wisconsin athletes and fans.

HOW IT WORKS

We are currently connecting with communities throughout Wisconsin for our initial launch.

There is no cost for communities to participate. During the first year, we expect to work with approximately 40 locations statewide. Additional communities can join the waitlist for future opportunities and updates.

Each participating community will have a local coordinator who works directly with the Badger Connect team to organize activities throughout the year.

Activities may include:

  • Personalized video messages from Badger athletes
  • Virtual Q&A sessions with student-athletes
  • In-person events at UW athletic facilities
  • Special appearances and community experiences
  • Each community will also receive its own custom webpage highlighting upcoming events, photos, and program updates.
