MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin safety Austin Brown showcased his versatility last season as the team’s top nickel corner and compiled his share of standout performances: 10 tackles against Nebraska, nine tackles with a sack and a forced fumble against USC and eight tackles against Penn State.
Brown, who has played in 38 career games with 12 starts, returns to his more natural position on the back end this season and will serve as a senior leader of the defense.
