Kicker Gavin Lahm and punter Sean West took similar paths to fulfilling their dreams as members of Wisconsin’s football team. They arrived on campus as in-state preferred walk-ons, bided their time to earn the roles they wanted and enter this season occupying crucial special-teams roles for the Badgers.

Lahm was Wisconsin’s kickoff specialist for three seasons, redshirted a year ago and is positioned to be the Badgers’ field goal kicker. West, who split time at punter last season with Atticus Bertrams, is now the starter.
