Wisconsin’s women’s basketball program made notable strides in Year 1 under coach Robin Pingeton last season. The Badgers finished 16-18 overall, which marked the most victories for the program in 15 years. They beat a pair of top-25 teams and reached the WBIT semifinals.
Those results, coupled with an influx of talent through high school recruiting and the transfer portal, has created even more enthusiasm for Year 2. Pingeton and her husband, Rich, are this week’s guests on the Badger Connect Podcast. They discuss how they met, Pingeton’s decision to join the Wisconsin program after 15 years at Missouri, how they manage life off the court, expectations entering this season and more.
